Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common spaces to meet health and safety standards
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners to ensure floors are well cared for
- Conduct detailed floor care including buffing, waxing, stripping, and polishing to preserve surface quality
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning products as needed
- Assist with light maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs or minor repairs to support overall facilities upkeep
- Follow safety procedures diligently and report any hazards or maintenance issues promptly
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment operation including floor care and industrial cleaning tools
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders when necessary
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout shifts
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly
- Basic understanding of facilities maintenance practices is a plus
