As a member of our team, you will be part of a diverse multi-disciplined team of engineers operating in a highly agile environment using the latest tools and methodologies to develop your technical competence as well as developing your leadership skills. The EMI/EMC TEST engineer will be responsible for developing procedures, reports, and the execution of various EMI and power quality test activities for a multitude of systems ranging from submersible to space platforms recognized around the world. The EMI/EMC TEST engineer will also support niche fields related to Power Variation (MIL-STD-704), Multipaction, Corona Discharge, and TEMPEST on products being developed throughout L3Harris. Essential Functions:
- Perform EMI Qualification test campaigns on cutting edge programs.
- Coordinate test and verify EMI design requirements with teammates, customers, and system architects through the qualification and sustainment of various L3 Harris systems.
- Develop test procedures and test reports.
- Perform EMI/EMC, DO-160, MIL-STD-704 Power Quality, HIRF, Lightning, RF co-site and antenna coupling testing.
- Apply EMI engineering technology experience to document and solve complex problems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- International Association for Radio Telecommunications and Electromagnetics (iNARTE) EMI/EMC engineer certification
- Must be familiar with electromagnetic concepts such as RF isolation, shielding, grounding and filtering.
- Must have familiarization of RF and measurement instrumentation such as receivers, antennas, analyzers and amplifiers.
- Possess a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, engineering physics, or engineering physics technology
