What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Estimator position at Harris & Co Executive Search?
Lead or support project pursuits, tailoring proposal strategy to each client's unique needs and expectations
Take an active role in Capture Planning — focusing on Best Bid, Best Team, and Bid to Win strategies
Build and maintain key subcontractor relationships, including prequalification, ITB processes, and bid leveling
Partner with Client Executives and Account Managers to align proposals with client expectations
Maintain and improve estimating tools and systems (HCSS, QuoteSoft, Building Connected)
Mentor the estimating team on technical understanding — logistics, schedule, means and methods, crew structure, and cost of work
Champion innovation in estimating technology and processes
Collaborate cross-functionally with Safety, Operations, Controls, and Business Development to deliver best-in-class, fully integrated estimates
What You Bring
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent industry experience
Extensive experience across all aspects of mechanical construction
Experience with MCAA Weblem, QuoteSoft, HCSS, and Building Connected preferred
Strong understanding of cost drivers and complex contract payment structures
A track record of influencing at all levels of an organization and driving strategic initiatives
Excellent communication skills and a results-focused, solutions-oriented mindset
Proven ability to build and lead cross-functional teams
Salary : $160,000 - $250,000
