Harris Beach Murtha’s Rochester office is seeking a Training Specialist to join our Professional Development team! You will THRIVE in this role if you have:
- 5 years of related work experience (required)
- A bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Law firm experience (preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Knowledge of eLearning software and on-line training tools
- A foundation in adult education
- Knowledge of desktop productivity software, including PDF, document management software, template, and numbering tools
- Excellent multitasking and time management abilities
- Serve as the training subject matter expert for programs supported by the firm (including both technical and non-technical instruction)
- Deliver training to skill sets ranging from beginner to experienced. This includes new hire training, ongoing skill building education, and training to support firm projects
- Conduct live training sessions on-site or remote, using a variety of instructional techniques or formats such as role playing, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures
- Manage the in-person or remote training session environment, including motivating participants, maintaining focus and adapting training style to meet the needs of participants
- Assist in the creation of materials such as reference guidelines, visual aids, online learning modules, and course handouts
- Monitor training activities through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managers and report on program effectiveness and recommend training programs accordingly
- Understand and stay current with technology, firm processes and procedures, and training best practices
- Exhibit the ability to effectively multi-task, meet deadlines, and provide solutions in a fast-paced office setting
