Title: Head of Strategic Acquisitions
Fast growing, NY based platform company is seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Head of Strategic Acquisitions to lead the sourcing and execution of acquisitions. This role is ideal for someone who combines Private Equity Roll-Up experience with an entrepreneurial mindset. You will be responsible for building and executing a proprietary pipeline of acquisition opportunities across AI, data, and technology-enabled businesses.
Backed by long-term, flexible capital, the platform is focused on partnering with founders and scaling businesses over time—not flipping assets. You will work directly with senior leadership to shape investment strategy and play a central role in building a category-defining AI platform through acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
Investment & Acquisition Strategy
- Define and execute the firm’s acquisition strategy across AI and technology-enabled sectors
- Identify targets across vertical AI, data infrastructure, automation, and applied AI use cases

- Help shape the platform’s investment thesis in partnership with senior leadership
Deal Sourcing & Proprietary Pipeline Development
- Build and manage a high-quality, proprietary pipeline of acquisition opportunities
- Identify founder-led AI and tech-enabled businesses through research and direct outreach
- Develop relationships with founders, operators, brokers, and ecosystem participants

Founder Partnerships & Relationship Building
- Engage directly with founders of AI and technology businesses
- Lead thoughtful, relationship-driven outreach
- Understand founder motivations, product vision, and long-term goals
- Position the firm as a preferred long-term partner, not just a buyer
Financial Analysis & Technical Diligence
- Lead evaluation of opportunities including financial, operational, and strategic analysis
- Build valuation models and assess return profiles
- Partner with technical teams to evaluate product, data assets, and AI capabilities
- Identify key risks, scalability constraints, and integration opportunities
Transaction Execution
- Lead end-to-end deal execution from initial engagement through closing
- Structure creative, founder-aligned transaction solutions
- Coordinate diligence across legal, financial, and technical workstreams
- Negotiate terms and manage timelines across multiple concurrent deals
Qualifications
- Private Equity, M&A, or venture capital experience.
- Strong interest in AI, data, and technology platforms (deep domain experience a plus, not required)
- Experience with PE Roll-Ups including acquisition integrations.
- Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities
- Experience working with founder-led or entrepreneurial businesses strongly preferred
- Ability to operate with autonomy in a lean, high-growth environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with a founder-first mindset
- High intellectual curiosity, especially around AI and emerging technologies
