As a Filtration Specialist at Harrington, you’ll serve as the go-to expert for filtration systems, helping customers solve complex challenges, driving new business, and supporting our branches with technical knowledge and training. Responsibilities
As a Filtration Specialist, you will be the subject matter expert driving growth for Harrington’s Filtration Products. In this role, you will:
- Drive Sales Growth: Proactively increase sales and profitability of filtration products by developing and executing a Sales Opportunity Plan (SOP) targeting high-potential new and existing customers.
- Customer Handoffs: Transition established filtration accounts to the local Branch Sales Teams once regular purchasing patterns are in place, ensuring smooth customer experience.
- Provide Technical Expertise: Offer technical support, guidance, and solutions to address customer filtration challenges.
- Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong partnerships with branch personnel, customers, and filtration vendors.
- Training & Education: Conduct product seminars, branch-level training, and represent Harrington at trade shows, open houses, and professional organizations.
- Territory Management: Maintain activity reports, itineraries, call notes, project opportunities, and account details in Harrington’s CRM system.
- Compliance & Reporting: Submit accurate expense reports and documentation in line with company policy.
- Travel: Travel within assigned territory as required.
- 2–3 years of experience in industrial wholesale distribution, preferably in the pipe, valve, and fitting (PVF) industry with a focus on filtration systems.
- Proven success in outside sales, with the ability to uncover customer needs and deliver tailored filtration solutions.
- Strong technical knowledge of filtration technologies, system design, and applications across multiple industrial sectors.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with branch teams and vendors.
