Experience Needed:
- Has the ability to work independently & resourcefully within a small company environment.
- Minimum of 1 years' experience as a helper in construction industry or equivalent knowledge of the industry.
- Must have valid class C driver’s license & clean driving record.
- Has the ability to communicate & follow instruction well.
- Has the ability to operate variety of hand tools & equipment used by Pumpman NorCal.
- Has the ability to read interpret basic drawings & instructions.
- Has the ability to be flexible in job duties and be willing to help out with tasks not specifically lined out in their job description.
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand, walk, talk, hear & reach with hands & arms.
- Must be able to occasionally climb, balance, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Must be able to perform heavy physical labor including having sufficient strength to lift, carry and/or move items up to 80 pounds.
- Must have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing job duties may be exposed to outside weather conditions including heat, cold & wet.
- While performing job duties may be exposed to unpleasant odors, mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles & moderate noise levels.
- Load & unload materials & equipment as instructed.
- Perform variety of tasks on the job site to assist Pump Mechanic in completing projects.
- Perform from start to finish well tests with supervision and/or instruction.
- Pull water samples for water quality testing (both in house & lab testing) with supervision and/or instruction.
- Operate hand tools in a safe and effective manner.
- Operate large equipment with close supervision of Pump Mechanic in charge.
- Basic operation of Rig with close supervision of Pump Mechanic in charge.
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical & carpentry with supervision and/or instruction.
- Perform Rig, vehicle & equipment maintenance as instructed with supervision.
- Pickup parts from vendors.
- Take out trash in shop & office. Take trash dumpsters out.
- Putting together stock order lists upon request.
- Keeping shop picked up, swept & tidy.
- Complete specific tasks in allotted time per instructions/directions provided.
- Complete in a neat & timely manner all paperwork, including but not limited to timecards, job cards (with assistance), etc.
- Loading & unloading for projects as instructed.
- Assisting Pump Mechanic as instructed to both prepare for & complete projects.
- Complete paperwork.
- Stock Rig/Vehicle
