What You Will Do Here
- Work under the supervision of a licensed engineer to learn and become proficient in all aspects of electrical design.
- Learn tasks and begin to perform work requiring independent judgment, including calculations, equipment selection, application of code requirements, and applying design methods to proposed project plans.
- Take on tasks with less specific instruction and perform specific project tasks or complete small projects independently.
- Completes small projects or portions of larger projects with minimal instruction, with review by a licensed engineer.
- Work cooperatively with the Project Manager, Project Assistant, and licensed engineer to ensure the successful completion of all phases of the project.
- Investigate and/or visit existing structures to determine applicable conditions.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience.
- Familiar with the principles of engineering, knowledge of advanced math, physics, and electrical science applicable to the field.
- Undergraduate Degree (2 years minimum) in Electrical Engineering (other engineering degrees to be considered on a case-by-case basis).
- Familiar with the basic structure of an engineering project and it’s elements.
- Proficient with the tools required to achieve project completion (ie software, reference documents, calculations, and contacts).
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient with Revit.
- Proficient with PDF Editing software such as Adobe or Bluebeam.
- Capable of utilizing additional software as needed to perform complex calculations.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- A collaborative spirit and desire to work closely with teams of designers.
- Positive work attitude and sense of humor.
- Love of design, and desire to contribute to the built environment in a real way.
