Role Description
Situated in Santa Barbara wine country, the Santa Ynez Valley Marriott is recruiting for the role of General Manager. The General Manager will guide the hotel through an excited renovation and transformation in the fall of 2026 and will relaunch the hotel as a premier destination in the area.
The General Manager will oversee daiy hotel operations, ensuring seamless customer service, team performance, and financial success. Key responsibilities include managing staff, developing operational strategies, monitoring budgets, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction. The role will also involve fostering a positive workplace culture and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in hotel operations, staff supervision, and customer satisfaction
- Expertise in budgeting, financial planning, and revenue management
- Knowledge of hospitality industry regulations, standards, and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in relevant software and technology used in hospitality management
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience as a General Manager or in a similar role is a strong advantage

Salary: $190,000.00- $210,000.00 plus performance incentives
