Welder/Fabricator

Job Overview

Looking for Jack of all trades, We do a little bit of everything from millwright work to metal buildings, and welding fabrication. Must have reliable transportation. Pay based on skill level. Must not be afraid of heights. Some travel, but home on weekends.

Duties

• Use various hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and pipe threading tools to shape and assemble metal components.
• Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math skills to ensure precise fabrication.
• Cut, bend, assemble, and weld sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and other metal materials for various projects.
• Operate rigging equipment for lifting heavy components safely on construction sites or within fabrication shops.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols while handling power tools, machinery, and welding equipment; maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Skills

• Extensive construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures..
• Skilled in multiple welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding; familiar with AWS standards.
• Ability to operate measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and schematics for precise fabrication work.
• Mechanical knowledge of shop math, blueprint interpretation, sheet metal fabrication processes, and ASME codes & standards.
• Experience with fabrication shop environments involving sheet metal work, ductwork manufacturing, pipe threading, machining operations, and assembly tasks.
• Familiarity with rigging techniques for lifting heavy materials safely using forklifts or other lifting devices; knowledge of plasma cutting tools and press brake machines is a plus.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to welding operations, power tools usage, material handling, and construction site activities.

Pay: $15.00 - $30.44 per hour
