What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wastewater Plant Operator position at Harpeth Wastewater Cooperative?
Harpeth Wastewater Cooperative, a state licensed utility, has an immediate opening for a full-time Operator at its wastewater treatment facility west of Franklin, TN in Williamson County. This is an opportunity for a person to receive experience in all aspects of operating and maintaining a wastewater treatment plant and collection system.
The Operator supports the plant operations staff in day-to-day maintenance and operation of the treatment system, laboratory, and pump stations. A current wastewater license is required with the desire and ability to obtain a collection system license.
Computer familiarity, general knowledge of MS Office applications and the ability to communicate via email and texts are musts.
Occasional local driving is required. The company will reimburse mileage. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
Positions are hourly. Generally, day shift hours from 7 AM until 3:30 PM, but with some evenings, weekends and holidays required.
Educational level: High School Diploma
Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
