The Harper Talasek Funeral Homes family (Temple, Belton, & Killeen) is looking to add a Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer to our team. The ideal candidate is an individual that has graduated from an accredited mortuary program, has passed their board exams, is licensed to practice in the State of Texas, and is ready to serve families in every aspect of funeral service. This position involves removals, preparation of the deceased, arrangement conferences, funeral services, and administrative support.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing decedents for viewing
- Making funeral arrangements with the families that we serve
- Transporting decedents
- Planning and executing funeral services
- Providing administrative support
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited mortuary science program
- Passing board scores
- Dual licensure in the State of Texas (or the ability to reciprocate)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and move more than 100lbs with assistance
- Compassion, attention to detail, and professionalism
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, bilingual preferred
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
