Job Summary
The Quality inspector is responsible for ensuring that products, materials, and services provided meet the requirements established by customers, procedures, and specifications.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately use common measurement tools, such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, procedures and work instructions.
- Use statistical sampling plans, such ASQ-ANSIZ1.4 or similar.
- Understand the ISO9001/AS9100 and how it applies to a Quality Control position.
- Match colors, textures and appearances to established standards.
- Verify the proper functionality of final assemblies.
- Ability to work as a team, both within and outside of the department.
- Must be able to follow instructions (Written and Verbal) and work independently with minimal supervision and minimal mistakes
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensions & Tolerances.
- Understanding of calibration and calibration systems.
- Intermediate computer skills, such as the ability to navigate Windows operating systems and ERP
- Transportation: Ability to travel between Harper Facilities when required without prior notice.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Sit for extended periods of time, full dexterity to reach, push, pull complex assemblies
- Perform Receiving, In-Process and Final Inspections
- Perform AS9102 based First Article Inspections
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Have strong communications skills
- Be able to work under high pressure and be able to meet deadlines
- Must have intermediate computer skills, such as the ability to navigate Windows operating systems and ERP
- Must be able to work independently
- Be Team oriented and be able to work with all levels of employees
- Must be attentive and maintain 98% quality rating
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years minimum of directly related experience
Work Environment / Physical Demands:
- Primarily production floor environment
- Often exposed to loud, bustling or dusty environments
- Regularly required to sit and stand.
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance.
- Occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.
- Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 / hour
