Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a role model for safety, health, environmental, and production standards by complying with all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for plant repairs and unplanned equipment breakdowns, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
- Support Production in identifying weekly maintenance priorities and plan equipment downtime accordingly.
- Develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance activities to reduce downtime and maximize equipment life cycles.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation, including work orders, check-off lists, workplace exams, and safety/toolbox meetings.
- Collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to design and execute process improvement projects and new equipment installations.
- Develop, plan, and manage plant maintenance budgets, CAPEX budgets, and improvement projects, making recommendations for annual maintenance and capital expenditures.
- Establish goals and a roadmap for the Maintenance Department to promote team member growth and development.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and best practices to improve maintenance efficiency and equipment reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, spare parts inventory, and critical spares.
- Provide regular reports to upper management on maintenance performance, equipment status, and upcoming activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations (e.g., MSHA) and create a secure, safe working environment.
- Be available for on-call shifts, emergencies, and planned shutdowns as required.
- Training others and growing skillsets.
- Oversee and control maintenance budget.

Experience in cement, lime, or other heavy industrial environments required.
- Proven ability to manage direct reports and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance software (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance for lime and minerals processing and rotating equipment (e.g., crushers, kilns, conveyors).
