Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electro Mechanic to support maintenance and troubleshooting of high-speed manufacturing equipment in a production environment. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability through preventive maintenance, rapid diagnostics, and effective repair of electrical and mechanical systems.
This is a hands-on, floor-based role requiring strong technical expertise in PLC troubleshooting, motor controls, and industrial equipment repair.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment
- Diagnose and resolve PLC and control system issues
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Maintain motors, relays, contactors, pumps, compressors, and related equipment
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Document repairs and maintenance activities in CMMS
- Support spare parts inventory and maintenance planning
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including lockout/tagout (LOTO)
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Shift: 5:45 PM – 6:15 AM | 12-hour continental shift (3 days one week, 4 days the following, off every other weekend)
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Industrial manufacturing or military maintenance experience
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment
- Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and industrial motor controls
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
- Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance
- Ability to work independently in an off-shift environment
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, climbing, and standing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with extrusion, blown film, flexographic printing, lamination, or slitting equipment
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Experience with CMMS systems
- Forklift operation experience
- Background in packaging or plastics manufacturing
Work Environment
