Role Description This full-time, on-site Landscape Architect/Landscape Designer role is based in Dallas, TX. The role involves developing concept designs, master plans, and detailed drawings for luxury residential landscapes, including gardens, outdoor living areas, pools, and specialty features. Responsibilities include site analysis, grading and drainage considerations, planting design, material selection, and coordination with internal teams, contractors, and vendors throughout the design and installation process. The Landscape Architect/Landscape Designer will prepare presentations, renderings, and construction documents, manage project timelines, and support quality control during on-site implementation. The role also includes collaborating with clients to refine design ideas, ensuring that each project reflects Harold Leidner’s standards of innovation, functionality, and craftsmanship.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Landscape Architecture and Landscape Design for high-end residential projects.
- Experience with Landscape Planning and Landscaping, including site analysis, grading, and hardscape/softscape integration.
- Ability to develop detailed Planting Plans that reflect local climate, sustainability, and aesthetic goals.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite); hand sketching skills are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or a related field; professional licensure or progress toward licensure is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices for outdoor environments.
- Strong visual communication, client-facing, and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience with luxury residential design in Texas or similar climates is beneficial.
