Student Success Facilitator Asst.
Employment Term (days): 187
Pay Scale: Paraprofessional/Clerical 3
Primary Purpose:
Provide assistance for students and their families to remove barriers in school readiness, success, and attendance.
Work with students who are at-risk and in danger of dropping out of school.
Provide students with information and act as a liaison to appropriate learning activities and experiences in academics to help fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
Assist campus administration with home visits, implementing and following through on programs to keep students in school until they graduate or become productive working citizens.
Qualification Guidelines:
Education/Certifications:
High School graduate (transcripts) or GED
ESSA Criteria (2 years’ of study at an institution of higher education; an Associate degree or higher; or, can pass a formal paraprofessional assessment)
Experience:
Working with children
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work with students, staff, and parents
Ability to interpret data
Familiarity with issues related to students at-risk of dropping out of school
Awareness and ability to access community agencies and organizations
Ability to work as a member of a team
Strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills Bilingual (preferred)
