Job Title: Service Manager
Department: Service
Status: Full-time, Exempt
Reports To: President/COO
Pay Range: $110,000 , depending on experience
Qualifications
- 5 years experience in the Plumbing/HVAC Service industry
- Proven ability to initiate work, make strategic decisions, and follow through to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Ability to walk projects with clients and develop estimates in a timely manner
- Strong Technical knowledge on HVAC systems (VRF, Chillers, Boilers etc..) is a must
- MA Journeyman Plumbing License (preferred not required)
- MA Journeyman Pipefitter License (preferred not required)
- MA Refrigeration Technician License (preferred not required)
Responsibilities
- Evaluates work load and schedules service work in a way that best utilizes manpower and maximizes profits
- Resolves customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction
- Responsible for creating and managing budgets
- Ensures all service vehicles and equipment are properly treated and maintained
- Ensures that materials and equipment are ordered and dispensed for scheduled jobs
- Hold meetings and one on one training as well as periodic reviews
- Ensures that all technicians are following all company guidelines and policies
- Ability to field after hour calls and delegate, if required
- Manage Service Field and office staff (Service Administrator and Service Sales associate)
- Working with director business development, go over leads and follow ups
- All other duties required of this position, as assigned by the President and COO
Operational Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the service technicians, ensuring timely and efficient completion of service requests, installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate and schedule HVAC technicians to optimize productivity, meet customer demands, and minimize response times in partnership with Service Office staff.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction by ensuring prompt and professional service delivery, resolving customer complaints, and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise and support during the sales process, including estimating project costs and developing service proposals.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and codes, including safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and licensing requirements.
- Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high service standards and ensure the delivery of reliable and efficient HVAC solutions.
