Job Summary: The Main Shop Technician is a vital member of our automotive service team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure their safe and efficient operation. Key Responsibilities:
· Diagnose vehicle issues accurately and efficiently using diagnostic tools and equipment.
· Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
· Repair or replace faulty parts, components, or systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems.
· Perform complex automotive repairs and adjustments, including engine overhauls, transmission rebuilds, and differential repairs.
· Follow manufacturer guidelines and specifications for repair and maintenance procedures.
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
· Keep up-to-date with advancements in automotive technology and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development.
· Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and provide assistance when needed.
· Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
· Document all work performed accurately and thoroughly in service records.
Key Responsibilities:
· Previous brand experience preferred, but not required.
· All applicants must be 18 years or older.
· Proven experience as an automotive technician, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
· Certification from a recognized automotive training program or technical school preferred, but not required.
· Strong knowledge of automotive systems, components, and diagnostic tools.
· Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
· Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions for extended periods.
· Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
