Overview
We’re partnered with a growing, data-driven organization seeking a Senior Business Risk Analyst to support and evolve its Risk function, with exposure to Operations and Revenue teams over time. This role is highly analytical, stakeholder-facing, and directly influences business strategy, policy decisions, and performance outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze resident/customer screening performance and policy effectiveness
- Use SQL to extract and analyze data from data warehouses and BI tools
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities
- Own KPI monitoring and perform root-cause analysis on performance outcomes
- Develop insights to improve occupancy/revenue while minimizing credit or loss exposure
- Prepare executive-level presentations to support strategic decisions
- Partner with Analytics, Operations, Data Quality, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Support initiatives beyond Risk as part of a broader Analytics team
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Economics, Statistics, CS, etc.) required
- 5 years of hands-on analytical experience
- Strong SQL (complex querying)
- Advanced Excel (pivots, lookups)
- Python for data manipulation and analysis
- Experience working with large, messy datasets across multiple sources
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, executive-facing)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in credit risk, pricing, or policy analysis
- Model development or monitoring experience
- Statistical or ML techniques (regression, hypothesis testing, performance tracking)
