About Our Client
Our client is a world-leading semiconductor company, designing and manufacturing a broad portfolio of analogue and embedded processing technologies. With a global footprint spanning research, development, and large-scale manufacturing, they are a cornerstone of the modern electronics industry — powering everything from industrial equipment and automotive systems to consumer electronics and communications infrastructure. They are currently experiencing a period of significant growth, driving major investment in manufacturing capacity and supply chain capability.
About the Role
Our client is seeking an exceptional senior leader to join their Supply Chain Solutions organization as Director of Enterprise Supply Chain Planning. This is a high-impact, transformation-focused role with end-to-end ownership of enterprise planning — from demand generation through to supply and capacity planning. The successful candidate will define the technology vision, drive strategic initiatives, and lead a global team through a significant modernization journey.
This role demands equal parts strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You will be the ultimate product owner for planning, sitting at the intersection of business, technology, and manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Planning Ownership
- Own end-to-end enterprise planning across demand planning, inventory optimization, supply planning enablement, and capacity planning for manufacturing expansion.
- Generate high-quality demand signals to drive optimal inventory availability, accurate supply plans, and factory capacity decisions.
- Ensure tight alignment between demand, supply planning, and manufacturing — ensuring our client's business sells only what can be built, with clear visibility into availability and lead times.
Technology, Systems & Data
- Define and own the planning technology vision, roadmap, and multi-year architecture.
- Lead transformation initiatives leveraging modern planning platforms (e.g., Blue Yonder or equivalent), advanced analytics, machine learning, AI, and automation.
- Drive legacy system modernization and ERP-integrated planning transformations.
- Champion data governance and master data integrity across all planning and supply chain systems.
- Interpret complex, large-scale datasets to surface trends and support data-driven strategic decision-making.
Manufacturing & Operations Partnership
- Partner closely with our client's manufacturing operations to deliver high-quality factory start plans, enable scenario planning, and balance enterprise objectives with operational realities.
- Align planning outputs with our client's broader financial operating plan and strategic business goals.
- Support significant manufacturing footprint expansion in line with growing demand and inventory requirements.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead a global team of approximately 30 across multiple locations, managing 3 direct reports who each lead their own teams.
- Act as a true "leader of leaders" — developing sub-leaders, driving consistent processes, and building DevSecOps capabilities across planning teams.
- Define required skill sets, establish upskilling frameworks, and lead structured training and capability development programmes.
- Drive change management initiatives to ensure strong user adoption, clear communication of transformation goals, and effective training across all planning teams.
About You
- Proven senior leader with deep technical fluency across end-to-end supply chain planning — this is not a pure people management role.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering enterprise planning transformations and legacy-to-modern system migrations, ideally having seen full transformation cycles through to completion.
- Strong background in semiconductor manufacturing and/or retail or consumer-driven supply chains with complex demand signals.
- Deep understanding of global manufacturing and planning environments.
- Balanced mix of technology depth and business acumen, with the ability to challenge and shape technical direction.
- Experienced in leading global, cross-functional teams and acting as the bridge between business, IT, and operations.
