The Opportunity

We're partnering with a rapidly growing, technology-driven organization to hire a Director of Analytics who will lead analytics strategy, analytics engineering, and customer-facing data products.

This is not a traditional BI leadership role.

We're looking for an engineering-minded analytics leader who has grown from a background in software engineering, data engineering, or analytics engineering and still enjoys being close to architecture, data modeling, platform strategy, and technical decision-making.

You'll lead a talented team while helping shape the future of the company's analytics, reporting, AI, and customer-facing data product strategy.

What Makes This Role Unique

  • Own both internal analytics and customer-facing analytics products
  • Lead a highly visible analytics organization with strong executive sponsorship
  • Drive modernization across analytics architecture, self-service analytics, and AI-powered insights
  • Influence product, engineering, and data strategy at the leadership level
  • Opportunity to help define the future of analytics and AI within the organization

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the analytics vision, roadmap, and long-term strategy
  • Lead Analytics Engineering, Reporting, and Client Analytics teams
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, AI, and Executive Leadership
  • Drive adoption of scalable analytics architecture and engineering best practices
  • Define and govern semantic layers, business metrics, and self-service analytics capabilities
  • Scale customer-facing analytics products and embedded reporting experiences
  • Guide AI-enabled analytics initiatives, conversational analytics, and modern decision-support products
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing analytics organization

What We're Looking For

Required Background

  • 10 years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or Analytics Engineering
  • 5 years leading analytics, analytics engineering, or data engineering teams
  • Strong experience owning analytics strategy and delivery in SaaS or B2B environments
  • Proven success building and scaling analytics teams and data products

Technical Requirements

  • Strong expertise with Snowflake architecture, optimization, governance, and data modeling
  • Hands-on knowledge of Looker, including semantic layers, metric governance, LookML, and self-service analytics
  • Deep SQL expertise and strong understanding of modern analytics engineering principles
  • Experience with dimensional modeling, semantic modeling, dbt, and enterprise data architecture
  • Ability to lead technical discussions with engineers, architects, and executive stakeholders

Preferred Experience

  • Customer-facing analytics products, embedded analytics, or external reporting platforms
  • AI-powered analytics, conversational analytics, LLMs, or GenAI initiatives
  • Modern cloud data ecosystems including Snowflake, dbt, and cloud-native analytics platforms
  • Experience supporting Product, Revenue, Customer Success, and Executive stakeholders

Why Join

  • Lead a highly visible analytics function
  • Drive analytics modernization and AI initiatives
  • Own customer-facing and internal analytics products
  • Partner directly with executive leadership
  • Join a team investing heavily in analytics, data products, and AI
  • Strong growth trajectory with long-term leadership opportunities

If you're an engineering-first analytics leader who loves building modern analytics platforms, scaling teams, and driving business impact through Snowflake, Looker, and data products, we'd love to connect.
