POSITION SUMMARY
An employee in this position performs security for the Harnett County Courthouse, employees and inmates.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
- Provides courtroom security for judges, the public, and inmates; may call court into session; ensures judges security and other needs are met; may perform coordination, seclusion, and other procedures with juries; and escorts inmates to and from the courtroom.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- No experience required;
- Or equivalent education and/or experience.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to perform light work frequently exerting up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects; and occasionally requiring to exert up to 20 pounds of force to move objects. The employee works indoors at the courthouse and may be subject to challenges when communicating with people in emergency situations.
