Position Summary
Harmony Science Academy Cypress is seeking a highly organized, professional, and student-centered Discipline Assistant to support the Dean of Student Culture/Assistant Principal with daily student discipline operations, parent communication, and administrative responsibilities. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, positive, and structured learning environment while ensuring accurate documentation and efficient office operations.
The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, possesses strong communication skills, and enjoys working with students, families, and staff.
Essential Responsibilities
- Support the Dean of Student Culture/Assistant Principal with daily student discipline processes and campus operations.
- Prepare correspondence, letters, reports, meeting agendas, memorandums, and other administrative documents.
- Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, take messages, and direct callers appropriately.
- Maintain confidential student records and organize office filing systems.
- Copy, scan, fax, and file documents as needed.
- Enter and maintain accurate student discipline and campus data.
- Communicate professionally with parents, guardians, staff, and other stakeholders regarding student matters.
- Supervise students assigned to In-School Suspension (ISS), ensuring expectations are followed while maintaining a structured learning environment.
- Assist with campus behavior interventions and other administrative duties as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information in accordance with district policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Previous experience in a school setting, student services, or administrative support preferred.
- Experience working with children or adolescents is highly desirable.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced school environment.
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
