We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Pool & Spa Service Technicians. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems, and helping customers understand how to care for their pools and spas.
Our technicians represent Harmony Pools in customers' homes every day, so professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential.
Work Schedule
This is a seasonal workload position tied to the Midwest pool season.
• Primary season: March through October
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Hours: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Occasional Saturdays may be required during peak seasonal demand
Work hours are highest during the active pool season and may reduce during the winter months.
Paid Training
All new technicians participate in a two week paid training program before working independently.
During training, team members will learn:
• Pool and spa water chemistry fundamentals
• Proper cleaning and maintenance procedures
• Pool equipment basics including pumps, filters, and heaters
• How to use our service software to document visits
• Customer service expectations when working in customers’ homes
Training includes hands-on field experience with experienced technicians so new team members feel confident before managing their own service routes.
Technician Career Ladder

Service Technician I
Entry Level / Training Role
Technician I team members learn the fundamentals of pool maintenance while working alongside experienced technicians.
Responsibilities include:
• Assisting with pool openings and closings
• Cleaning pools including brushing, skimming, and vacuuming
• Testing and balancing pool water chemistry
• Supporting experienced technicians on service routes
• Maintaining service vehicles and equipment
• Documenting service visits using company software
• Other duties as assigned
Service Technician II
Independent Route Technician
Technician II team members manage their own service routes and maintain pools independently.
Responsibilities include:
• Weekly pool and spa maintenance
• Accurate water testing and chemical adjustments
• Identifying basic equipment issues

• Recording service notes and chemical readings
• Supporting seasonal openings and closings

Senior Service Technician

Master Service Technician / Field Lead
Leadership & Technical Expert
Master technicians help guide field operations and serve as technical experts for the team.

• Advanced diagnostics and equipment repairs
• Field leadership and technician mentorship
• Supporting route planning and scheduling
• Ensuring service standards are maintained
• Providing expert customer guidance
• Other duties as assigned
Additional Position Expectations
Independence
Technicians must be comfortable working independently and managing their own daily service routes.
Strong time management and attention to detail are essential.
Technology
Technicians document service work digitally.
Experience with **Evosus / LOU field service system is preferred, though training will be provided.
Technicians should be comfortable:
• Using mobile devices
• Recording service notes
• Entering water chemistry readings
• Documenting equipment observations
Customer Interaction
This is a public facing position.
Technicians interact directly with homeowners and represent the Harmony Pools brand in the community.

• Maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment

Compensation

Typical range: $18 – $30 per hour - Training Pay $15.50 per hour
