Responsibilities
- Provide attentive pet care, including feeding, administering medication, and monitoring health status
- Handle animals with confidence using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff
- Assist with dog training sessions to promote good behavior and socialization skills
- Perform pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and trimming to maintain cleanliness and comfort
- Support veterinary procedures by assisting veterinary technicians and veterinarians during examinations and treatments
- Maintain clean and organized kennels, treatment areas, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Engage with pet owners through excellent customer service, offering advice on pet care and answering questions confidently
Requirements
- Previous experience working with animals, including veterinary technician or assistant experience preferred
- Knowledge of dog handling, training techniques, and animal restraint methods
- Familiarity with pet grooming practices and pet sitting responsibilities
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to transport animals or equipment safely
- Strong animal handling skills with a focus on safety and compassion
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members
- A proactive attitude with a passion for animal care and customer service excellence
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
