Job Overview
We are an established and busy PCP & Cardiology Medical Office. Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your skills and passion for patient care will shine! In this vital role, you will provide essential support to our medical staff and ensure that patients receive top-notch care in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise in various medical settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care, and hospital medicine, will be invaluable as you assist with patient intake, administer medications, and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR). What you’ll do
- Assist our Cardiologist with patient triage and performing EKG.
- Schedule patients for follow-up visits using our MDLand EMR
- You will be responsible for RCM (remote cardiac monitoring, Holters) modality. If you don't have the experience, we will provide the training for you.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
- Perform basic life support (BLS) when necessary and assist in emergency situations.
- Educate patients on treatment plans and provide exceptional patient service throughout their visit.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in both inpatient and outpatient settings to enhance patient outcomes.
Basic qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding is essential.
- Familiar with using EMRs.
- Excellent communication organizational skills, compassionate and friendly with patients.
- Work well under pressure and able to get along with other members of your team well.
- Bilingual Spanish is highly desirable.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical practice environments.
- Background in Holter/MCT and EKG is advantageous.
- Proficiency in handling administrative tasks related to patient service and care coordination.
