Role Description The Office Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Park Ridge, IL, responsible for overseeing daily office operations to support home health services. This role coordinates scheduling, maintains patient and administrative records, manages office supplies and equipment, and ensures that office procedures are followed consistently. The Office Manager serves as a primary point of contact for clients, families, and staff, triaging calls and inquiries and providing timely, courteous customer service. Typical responsibilities include supervising administrative workflows, assisting with billing and documentation processes, supporting onboarding of new staff, and collaborating with leadership to improve office efficiency and compliance with company policies and reg
ulations.Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day office operations and administrative staff
- Coordinate scheduling and documentation for home health services
- Liaise with payers, clinicians, and patients
- Oversee compliance with healthcare regulations and record keeping
- Handle billing, supplies, and vendor coordination
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and professional phone etiquette.
- Proficiency in Administrative Assistance and Office Administration, including scheduling, record management, and documentation.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot common Office Equipment such as printers, copiers, fax machines, and multi-line phone systems.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with a focus on empathy, responsiveness, and problem resolution.
- Experience in healthcare or home health office settings is beneficial, including familiarity with HIPAA and basic medical terminology.
- Competence with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar tools) and electronic record systems.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in business, healthcare administration, or related fields is a plus.
- Familiarity with home health operations preferred
- Proficiency with office and scheduling software
- Familiarity with insurance verification and authorization processes, including working knowledge of major payers such as Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Health
Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience
