Harmony Hill School is a private, non-profit organization providing residential care, day treatment and education services to male youths aged 8-18. Our beautiful school campus is located in Glocester, RI, just a 20-30 minute commute from many towns in the RI/CT/MA area.Our K-12 school program is certified by the RI Department of Education. We are seeking a certified Special Education Teacher to join our school team and fill a vacancy created by retirement. Small class sizes, a team of caring, dedicated coworkers and the chance to make a positive impact await you -- apply today!Job Responsibilities:The Special Education teacher is responsible to prepare and effectively present educational content via individualized instruction in small student groups. The teacher will support and guide students to cultivate an interest in learning, to strengthen socioemotional skills, and to achieve learning goals. Each classroom is supported by Behavior Assistant and Youth Care team members.Requirements:Our ideal candidates will be experienced in a secondary school setting with R.I. Special Education Teacher certification. Bachelor's degree is required.New teaching graduates with experience working with behaviorally challenged youth in a direct care are also encouraged to apply.Compensation:Full time, school year position with a starting salary of $50-60K and full benefits package along with opportunities to earn extra income working additional shifts in our residential youth care program.Harmony Hill School is an equal opportunity employer.
