Our beautiful school campus is located in Glocester, RI, just a 20-30 minute commute from many towns in the RI, CT, MA area.If you're dependable, take pride in your work & enjoying making a positive impact on others, we'd love to hear from you!We are seeking a dedicated, reliable Housekeeper with an eye for details to play an essential role in providing a safe, clean and healthy environment for students and staff. This is a full time position working 8am-4pm Monday-Friday with a starting pay of $18-20/hour along with health/dental/vision insurance and generous time off benefits.Job Responsibilities:Perform daily housekeeping tasks to include: cleaning residential dormitory spaces, bathrooms, common areas, and offices and trash removal. This will include: sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming and sanitizing of assigned areas.Follow established cleaning, sanitizing, infection control and safety guidelines.Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities. Maintain and track cleaning supply inventory, requesting supplies as needed.Report any maintenance or safety concerns to a supervisor in a timely fashion.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous housekeeping, janitorial or cleaning experience preferred with experience in a healthcare, school or residential setting would be a plus.Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Foster teamwork with co-workers, take initiative and pride in your work, be responsive to cleaning needs, and have a positive impact on residents, co-workers and visitors.Strong attention to detail and reliable attendance.Must successfully complete required driving record, criminal and child abuse/neglect background screenings.Work Environment & Physical Demands:The work requires physical exertion to complete assigned job tasks: standing or walking (indoors and outdoors) for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Requires frequent bending, reaching, carrying up to 30 lbs and squatting. Required to use cleaning chemicals safely which may require the use of protective clothing or gear such as gloves, masks, or goggles.Harmony Hill School is an equal opportunity employer.
