About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Spiritual Counselor who is fluent in Spanish to join our interdisciplinary care team. This role provides emotional and spiritual support to patients and families during end-of-life care, ensuring their cultural and spiritual needs are respected and honored.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer spiritual counseling and emotional support to hospice patients and their families in Spanish.
- Collaborate with the hospice care team to develop individualized care plans.
- Facilitate spiritual rituals, prayers, or practices as requested by patients and families.
- Provide bereavement support and resources.
- Document visits and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Divinity, Spiritual Care, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certification or endorsement from a recognized faith community or spiritual organization.
- Fluency in Spanish (required).
- Previous experience in hospice, palliative care, or counseling preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
