Clinical Supervisor

The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for providing weekly supervision in either a two- hour or one-hour format. The clinical supervisor will manage, support, develop and evaluate the clinical work of pre-licensed clinicians in a school-based environment and other clinical setting as determined by Harmony At Home. The clinical supervisor will receive guidance and support from the Lead Clinical Supervisor and will report to the Director of Operations.

The job duties will include:

• Meet with AMFT, ASW, APCC, PPS Credentialed Counselors, and/or Master’s level students at least one time per week in a two-hour group or one hour individual meeting as required by the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
• Complete at least two site visits during the counseling school year for supervisees.
• Observe supervisees while they are conducting group and/or individual counseling sessions with child clients.
• Review recorded session of supervisees conducting group sessions.
• Evaluate supervisees at least twice per school year or as needed.
• Complete evaluations for graduate degree programs as needed.
• Collaborate with graduate degree program staff as needed.
• Complete learning agreements for graduate level supervisees.
• Attend Supervisor Meetings through the school year, as requested by the Lead Clinical Supervisor.
• Attend part of the annual orientation taking place from July 31 - August 4, 2023.
• Review the clinical records of supervisees on a regular basis to support accurate and current record keeping, meeting the criteria of HAH.
• Review all reports of suspected abuse or neglect of minors and vulnerable adults and assure that appropriate actions are taken.
• Provide phone support for supervisees in times of crisis (CPS report, law enforcement report, suicide risk assessment, etc.).
• Inform the Lead Clinical Supervisor, Program Manager, or Director of Operations in a timely manner of all relevant clinical and liability issues
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment: Employee is knowledgeable and complies with all safety and health rules and regulations including, performance of safe work habits. Employee takes immediate action to correct and/or report all safety hazards to supervisor. Employee secures hazardous areas to protect safety of others. Employee immediately reports any work-related injury to HR Manager.
• Stay current in trauma-informed theory and practices through reading, research, and/or professional development opportunities.
• Performs all other duties as required by management.
• ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, REQUIREMENTS, COMMENTS:
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) LCSWs must possess a current and valid California license for at least two years prior to the commencement of supervision, complete a 6-hour supervision training within the two-year period immediately preceding supervision and every renewal period when supervising, NOTE: If the supervisor has never taken this course, it must be taken within 60 days of commencement of supervision and have practiced psychotherapy or directly supervised trainees, interns, or associate clinical social workers who perform psychotherapy as part of their clinical practice in two of the past five years immediately preceding the commencement of supervision.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) must provide Harmony At Home with proof of liability insurance.
• PPSC with CWA is required.
• Six Hour Supervision Training - Supervisors must retain documentation verifying completion of this requirement and must provide it to the Board upon request.
• Required 15 Hours of Supervision Training - LCSWs supervising ASWs must complete a minimum of 15 contact hours in supervision training (usually in a single course) prior to commencement of supervision. Once completed, the licensee does not need to complete it again before supervising future ASWs.
• This course must be taken through an accredited or approved school, a state agency, or an approved Continuing Education Provider. A course taken through an online approved provider will also be accepted. Supervisors are to retain documentation verifying completion of this requirement and must provide it upon request.

The clinical supervisor job would allow for 4-8 hours per week, based on the need presented at orientation.
