Harmonious Beginnings Counseling & Consulting is seeking qualified mental health professionals to join our growing 1099 Contract Clinician Network.

We provide individual, family, couples, and group counseling services both in office and virtually.

This is a flexible 1099 position for clinicians who want to accept referrals based on their availability, geographic service area, professional qualifications, and clinical interests. The position offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality clinical care through both in-person and telehealth modalities. You will provide comprehensive mental health assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based therapies to support clients' emotional well-being. Your role is vital in fostering recovery, resilience, and growth for individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges.

Duties

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to accurately identify client needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
• Provide direct support through individual, group, couples, child & family counseling, and adolescent therapy sessions, ensuring client engagement and progress.
• Utilize crisis intervention techniques to manage acute situations effectively while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines and HIPAA regulations.
• Address areas such as emotional regulation, decision-making, impulse control, accountability, self-identity, coping skills, communication, and goal setting.
• Complete progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and other required documentation within established timelines
• Document all clinical encounters meticulously in Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR), maintaining compliance with medical documentation standards and confidentiality protocols.
• Facilitate telehealth therapy sessions, ensuring seamless patient communication and engagement across digital platforms.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, treatment planning, and progress monitoring for clients with co-occurring disorders or complex needs such as PTSD, or developmental diagnosis.
• Maintain professional communication with Harmonious Beginnings and authorized referral partners.
• Maintain required professional credentials, supervision, and liability insurance.
• Provide services through telehealth, in office, community-based approved settings.

Qualifications

• Possess a Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Behavioral Health, or a closely related field appropriate for the services provided.
• Must hold a valid clinical license in the state of Alabama. Candidates without licensure will not be considered. Examples of acceptable licenses include, but are not limited to, ALC, LPC, LICSW, LMHC, and LMFT.
• Maintain applicable licensure, credentialing, certification, registration, or supervision requirements.
• Maintain professional liability insurance.
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Possess strong clinical documentation and communication skills.
• Maintain accurate and ethical documentation in accordance with agency, Medicaid, and state requirements.
• Be dependable, professional, and able to work independently.
• Clinicians specializing in grief, trauma, couples/marriage therapy, family therapy, and adolescent care are highly preferred!
• Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy, grief counseling, and trauma-focused approaches.
• Successfully complete required credential verification and background screening.
• Have reliable access to a computer and secure internet for electronic documentation and telehealth when applicable.

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following areas is preferred but not required:

• Children and adolescents
• Marriage, Couples, or Family Counseling
• Trauma-informed care
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Motivational Interviewing
• Group counseling

• Flexible

Contract clinicians may indicate:

• Preferred caseload
• Telehealth and/or in-person availability
• Daytime and/or evening availability

Compensation

• Competitive Pay Based on Experience and Credentials

Contract Status

• This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity.
• Referral volume is based on program needs, clinician qualifications, geographic coverage, and availability. Placement on Harmonious Beginnings Counseling & Consulting's contractor roster does not guarantee a minimum number of clients, hours, or assignments.
