The Client
Harmonic is delighted to be supporting one of the fastest growing AI companies globally. The business is building a next-generation platform that enables large enterprises to rapidly adopt AI, modernize legacy systems, and significantly accelerate software development cycles.
With a dual-product offering, the platform is used both at the enterprise level to drive large-scale transformation initiatives and by product and engineering teams to improve speed, efficiency, and overall output in building and deploying new applications.
Having launched recently with a SaaS-based model, the company has already achieved significant early traction, scaling past $40m ARR within their first year and raising a ~$150m Series A. The business is now entering a phase of hypergrowth, with ambitious targets and a clear path toward becoming a category-defining platform as it works toward an eventual IPO.
The Role
The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Controller and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounting function as the company scales. This is a hands-on position focused on core accounting operations, month-end close, and ensuring strong financial controls in a high-growth environment.
The role will also support audit readiness, revenue recognition, and the ongoing buildout of systems and processes, including ERP implementation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, with a strong focus on revenue recognition (ASC 606)
- Partner with the Controller to maintain audit readiness and support external audits
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of ERP systems
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Oversee and improve order-to-cash workflows and related controls
- Help establish and document accounting policies and procedures
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and efficiency
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and GTM teams
Requirements
- Experience with ERP systems or involvement in ERP implementations preferred
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Nice to Have
- CPA or progress toward certification
- Public accounting background (Big 4 or mid-tier)
- Experience in high-growth, venture-backed environments
- Familiarity with systems such as NetSuite or similar ERP platforms
- Experience supporting month-end close and audit processes
- Exposure to AP, AR, and order-to-cash cycles
- Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition (ASC 606)
