The Role
This role is responsible for overseeing the full purchase-to-pay cycle, managing vendor relationships, invoicing, and complex accruals. It includes ownership of key areas of the monthly close, financial analysis, and reporting to support strategic decision-making. The position plays a critical role in scaling systems and processes, maintaining compliance, and leading a remote outsourced team while helping implement internal controls across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the purchase-to-pay process, including vendor contract evaluations, invoicing, account reconciliations, and managing a complex accruals process.
- Own key components of the monthly close cycle—reviewing balance sheet accounts, analyzing financial statements, and conducting variance analyses.
- Evaluate company spending and develop reporting tools that help guide strategic decision-making.
- Support the ongoing growth of the business by enhancing systems and processes, ensuring efficiency and accounting compliance.
- Contribute to the documentation and rollout of internal control procedures across departments.
- Manage a remote outsourced team handling purchase-to-pay responsibilities.
What We Need to See (Essential)
- Exceptionally organized and self-motivated, with a proactive approach to taking on responsibility
- Experience complex systems and workflows
- Experienced in coaching or managing others in a collaborative setting
- Analytical and communicative—you can dig into data, identify insights, and clearly present your findings
- Proficient in US GAAP
