What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Director position at Harmonia Home Health?
At Harmonia Home Health, we're building something different.
We're a concierge private-pay home health agency that provides exceptional care to our clients while fostering a collaborative, supportive environment for our team. We're growing, refining our processes, and looking for an experienced RN leader who enjoys being part of building something great—not just maintaining the status quo.
One of the biggest differences you'll notice here is that our clients pay privately for their care. That means we're able to focus on providing the care our clients truly need—not what an insurance company or Medicare will approve. While we maintain the highest clinical standards and comply with all California home health regulations, our team isn't constrained by insurance-driven visit limits, reimbursement requirements, or productivity pressures that often come with traditional home health agencies. If you became a nurse to provide exceptional patient care, you'll appreciate the difference.
This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll work closely with our Operations team, physicians, nurses, and clients. If you enjoy solving problems, mentoring staff, improving processes, and being part of a close-knit team, we'd love to meet you.
This role is probably NOT the right fit if you:- Are looking for a primarily remote position.
- Prefer highly structured environments where every process is already established.
- Prefer to work independently with minimal collaboration.
- Aren't comfortable adapting as priorities change.
- Enjoy building and improving processes.
- Stay calm under pressure.
- Are approachable, positive, and collaborative.
- Like solving problems instead of pointing them out.
- Take ownership and don't wait to be told what to do.
- Appreciate working in an office where teamwork, communication, and mutual respect matter.
- Value providing patient-centered care instead of insurance-driven care.
- Want your ideas to have a real impact.
- Provide clinical oversight and support to our nursing team.
- Review documentation, physician orders, and care plans for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct RN and LVN assessments, including occasional in-home client visits.
- Ensure compliance with California home health regulations and HIPAA requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, clients, and families.
- Serve as a clinical resource for patient care concerns.
- Partner with administrative staff to ensure accurate documentation for billing and continuity of care.
- Mentor and support nurses in clinical best practices.
- Assist with competency validation and performance coaching.
- Help foster a positive, accountable, and supportive clinical culture.
Because we're a growing organization, we're continually improving how we work.
We're looking for someone who enjoys identifying opportunities, helping create better systems, and contributing ideas that improve both patient care and team efficiency.
Previous experience helping build or improve workflows in a home health agency is highly valued.
Staffing Support- Collaborate with Operations regarding staffing decisions.
