Job Summary
Harman Huffman Construction Group is seeking an experienced Traveling Project Superintendent to lead on-site operations for commercial construction projects across multiple states. This role requires strong field leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to HHCG's high standards of craftsmanship and client service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily on-site construction activities for ground-up and renovation projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, schedule activities, and maintain overall project flow
- Ensure work meets HHCG quality standards and complies with contract documents
- Enforce jobsite safety practices and maintain a clean, organized site
- Complete daily logs, photos, and reports; maintain communication with the Project Manager
- Participate in owner/architect meetings and provide field-driven solutions
- Review drawings, RFIs, and submittals to resolve conflicts early
- Manage punch lists, quality control, and project closeout
- Travel required; the superintendent will be assigned to projects across regional markets with extended on-site durations
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in commercial construction
- Strong knowledge of structural, MEP, civil, and finish trades
- Ability to read/interpret plans, specs, and schedules
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors, owners, and project teams
- Proficiency with tablets, email, and field software (Procore/PlanGrid/Bluebeam a plus)
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel for extended durations
- Self-driven, organized, and detail-oriented
