What are the responsibilities and job description for the Job Title: Elementary Reading Interventionist / Dyslexia Instructor position at Harleton Elementary School?
Primary Purpose:
- Provide targeted small-group reading intervention for elementary students based on assessment data.
- Deliver structured dyslexia instruction and support students in developing foundational literacy skills.
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas teaching certificate (Elementary or related field)
- Training in a dyslexia intervention program or willingness to obtain training
- Knowledge of characteristics and instructional needs of students with dyslexia
- Understanding of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and ability to plan targeted intervention lessons
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide small-group reading intervention lessons based on student assessment data
- Deliver dyslexia intervention using the district-approved program
- Monitor student progress and maintain documentation
- Plan intervention lessons aligned to TEKS and student needs
- Communicate and collaborate with classroom teachers regarding student progress and instructional supports
