Role Description
The Field Representative is a part-time, on-site role based in San Diego, CA. This role is responsible for visiting and inspecting residential and commercial properties, documenting conditions, and ensuring they meet company and regulatory standards. The Field Representative supports leasing and management activities by posting notices, coordinating access for vendors, and assisting with move-in, move-out, pre-move out, intake, and multi family inspections. Daily responsibilities include communicating with property managers, residents, owners, and vendors; responding to field-related issues; and escalating maintenance or safety concerns as needed. The role also involves gathering market and property information, supporting tenant retention efforts, and representing Harland Property Management professionally in the community.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong field service skills, including experience conducting property visits, inspections, and on-site support activities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact clearly and respectfully with residents, owners, vendors, and internal teams.
- Customer service skills, demonstrating patience, problem-solving abilities, and a service-oriented mindset.
- Should possess basic sales or outreach skills, including comfort explaining services and supporting leasing and retention efforts.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel locally within San Diego for field assignments.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple site visits and tasks in a given day.
- Familiarity with property management, real estate, or facilities management is preferred.
- Comfort using mobile apps, email, and basic office software to document visits and communicate with the team.
- Ability to work on-site, including frequent walking, stair climbing, and occasional lifting related to property visits.
