Job Title: Service Stager
Department: Global Technical Services
Status: Full Time
Reporting To: Business Unit Manager
Position Purpose:
The Service Stager position exists to make sure every work order for the business unit is complete by following the Work Order Check List and entering it into the Production Scheduling System. This position demands extreme attention to details and consistency as their work output will directly impact the productivity of the production floor and Harland’s customers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage business unit orders and calendar to ensure customer and internal orders go out on time, as scheduled
- Gather, assemble, inspect, build parts/assemblies for Service orders
- Monitor inventory to ensure levels are at or above minimum on hand requirements
- Complete all necessary Quality paperwork to process orders
- Basic phone and email response to customers and Service Engineers
- Coordinate with Quality department to ensure all service and applicable production equipment are in their calibration window
- Monitor and manage Quality training records for the business unit, training coordinator for the business unit
- Conduct Shipping and receiving for the business unit
- Assist Service Engineers while they are traveling out in the field
- Back-up for Technical Service-related tasks and emergencies
- Support and/or perform other duties as assigned by the BU manager
- Support and/or perform other duties as required
Education, Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum High School degree
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a service or production environment
- Must be able to organize, prioritize, and multi-task
- Must have skills in basic math, critical thinking and problem solving
- Must have experience and proficiency in Excel, Word, email
- Communication and attention to detail is essential
- Must be a self-starter and problem solver
- Must have the ability to take direction and follow plans
Authority:
- To ensure the effectiveness of laboratory activities
- To report to laboratory management on performance of the Quality Management System, and any need for improvement
- To authorize personnel to perform specific laboratory activities, including but not limited to: development, modification, verification and validation of methods
- To perform the following: Analysis of results, including statements of conformity or opinions and interpretations to report, review, and authorize results
- The laboratory staff shall be committed to impartiality and confidentiality, including not allowing commercial, financial, or other pressures to compromise impartiality
Working Conditions and Health & Safety:
- Heated and air-conditioned office environment
- Heated and air-conditioned manufacturing environment
- Employee is required to use appropriate PPE including, but not limited to, nitrile or latex gloves, lab coat, hair bonnet, shoe covers, beard cover, safety glasses, hearing protection, face shield, or respiratory mask while working in a lab or manufacturing space

Personnel engaged in manufacturing shall obtain training required by ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR part 820, FDA 21 CFR part 210 & 211, and Harland Medical System’s internal procedures, where deemed appropriate per assigned job functions.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to sit for prolonged periods of time.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
