People don't realize that window tinters can easily make that much money after years of experience and apprenticeship under a quality tinter.
We have this opportunity for the right candidate at Harker Heights Ceramic Coatings. We are a top tier window tint shop that grosses about 1.5 million annually.
The pay starts out initially lower - as you accomplish certain skills you will get increased pay, fast. Starting at $2000/mo for the first 90 days. Once you have proven yourself at the 90 day mark and show that you have the potential in the industry you will receive a $500/mo pay bonus. Additional pay after that for hitting other metrics once you master printing patterns, weeding film, removal of existing tint, and finally once you can tint your own windows. The person with the right attitude and aptitude could be making $60,000 annually within a year growing up to $120,000 or more within several years. The more value you provide the more you get paid.
These traits are a MUST:
- must be on time or early. Hours are 8-5 Tuesday through Saturday
- Nonsmoker
- No drugs (we had to let our last apprentice go largely because he was high at work every day he came in and couldn't advance even though we all loved him personally). If we even remotely suspect any impairment at work, you will be fired immediately without warning.
- Hard work ethic and willingness to learn a high paying skilled trade
- NO EXPERIENCE with window tint. Our other apprentice also had some bad habits from a tinter that he simply wouldn't let go. We decided to start with someone that has no experience at all. (In his defense our old tinter was a terrible teacher but good tinter, and when we let the old tinter go, he simply couldn't follow the direction of our new lead installer)
- Mature: no matter the age you have to be able to take constructive criticism
- Ability to stay off your phone: we don't have time to be on our phones all day. Our days our packed
- Don't apply for someone else. I'm not dealing with parents and wives trying to find jobs for their kids or spouse (yes this happens CONSTANTLY)
These traits are desired:
- Younger and fit. Remember you'll be climbing in the backs of cars. Larger people or people who are injured have a harder time doing this or kneeling. Also, you're starting a brand new trade. Typically, older individuals with families can't afford apprentice pay structure. It's NOT REQUIRED to be young. It's just a thought
- Love of cars. Not required but we work on a lot of high end cars, and it helps if you like cars to enjoy your job
