What You'll Be Doing
Job Scope: Generally responsible for performing all aspects for complete designs of mechanical/piping assignments using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods. This level is expected to assist in the design of larger and more complex mechanical/piping assignments. This work will be performed under general supervision.
Primary Responsibilities Will Include But Not Be Limited To
Education: Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting is required.
Certification: Certification is not required at this level.
Experience: This position requires 8 years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.

- Prepare, review, and revise piping layouts and detailed drawings
- Develop P&IDs and isometrics utilizing IVXP owned computer with AutoCAD
- Support equipment layout and piping routing design
- Conduct design reviews and clash detection
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI, API, NEC)
- Coordinate with engineering disciplines
- Produce material take-offs and support project documentation
Education: Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting is required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Experience in petrochemical and/or refining industrial sectors preferred
- Proficiency in industry-standard CAD/design tools
- Strong understanding of related design codes & standards
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with document control principles and systems
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
