Job Description
Job Title: PT Residential Supervisor
Department Program
Location Belcamp, MD
Reports to Program Supervisor
General Purpose:
The Residential Supervisor provides direct supervision of shelter residents and is responsible for managing daily shelter operations as part of the Program team.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Keeping a written account of each shift on the Shift Report. Information will include the number of residents onsite, any absences, any altercations or incidents, and any supply needs.
- Providing clients access to medications.
- Providing assistance and direction to volunteers as needed.
- Developing a positive rapport with volunteers.
- Remaining awake and alert at all times during their shift; the majority of the shift time should be spending in the shelter rather than at the office desk.
- Controlling access to the shelter and insuring all volunteers sign in and out using the daily sign-in sheet.
- Insuring that lights are out at 11 p.m. and that the TV is turned off.
- Insuring that all residents have completed their chores.
- Monitoring shelter areas via video camera system.
- Seeing that exterior doors remain locked at all times.
- Monitoring sleeping areas hourly to make certain everything is alright in both dorms. Using a flashlight is okay.
- Reporting incidents using the HFH Incident Report.
- Waking residents in the morning for breakfast and 7:45 a.m. departure time Monday through Friday.
- Perform a final walk-through of the shelter before closing for the morning or being relieved by another staff member on the next shift. Securely locking the shelter and turning off all lights before leaving.

Working Conditions Standard office working conditions. Weekday and Weekend evening and holiday work required. Standard shift hours will be 4PM - 12AM or on occasion overnight 12AM - 8AM or 8AM-4PM if needed. 8-16 hours per week
