ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is At-Will and pursuant to Section 2-501 of the Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article of the Annotated Code of MD serves at the pleasure of the Administrative Judge of the Circuit Court .
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education - Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience - Three years of experience providing clerical or administrative work involving a personal computer and Microsoft Office software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Receive and place calls to jurors.
- Prepare and send notices and related documentation.
- Prepare and proofread jury lists for court and provide same to necessary parties.
- Scan and file various documents
- Assist with juror orientation; copy jury lists, work-slips and meet with jurors.
- Open and process mail; both electronic and postal.
- Supply Board of Elections with updated information.
- Abide by Circuit Court for Harford County jury selection plan.
- Utilize Jury Plus application to include payroll and Generous Juror Donations.
- Utilize strong conflict resolution and customer service skill.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Working knowledge of the principles and practices of court processes an knowledge of the Maryland Judicial System.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing and via telephone.
- Ability to understand and implement departmental rules, regulations, procedures and instructions; both oral and written.
- Familiarity of applicable local, state and federal laws and guidelines governing the jury selection process.
- Ability to speak confidently in front of a group.
- Ability to accurately handle and count cash.
- Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain appropriate confidentiality.
- Ability to prepare and present reports or recommendations clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to interpret and apply a variety of laws, rules, regulation, standards and procedures.
