Experienced Line Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Line Cook to join our dynamic team. Hare of The Dawg in Derry is a family owned Bar & Grill serving homemade comfort food to our guests .Candidates must be team players who are willing to follow the direction of the owners as well as the ability to help create new specials along the way.

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, consistency, and attention to detail, ensuring each dish meets quality standards.
• Assist in menu planning by providing input on recipes, ingredient sourcing, and presentation techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety regulations and sanitation protocols.
• Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning to minimize waste.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff during meal preparation and service, supporting smooth operations during busy periods.
• Execute food plating and presentation in accordance with established standards for fine dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or food industry setting.
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques.
• Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus, demonstrating knowledge of special dietary needs.
• Experience with menu planning, food handling, and meal preparation for diverse clientele.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices essential for maintaining health regulations.
• Prior fine dining experience preferred, showcasing attention to detail and presentation skills.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
