Foreman – Vehicle Upfit Operations (Police & Fleet)

Hardy Automotive Group is seeking an experienced and hands-on Foreman to support daily operations in our vehicle upfit facility specializing in police, municipal, and commercial fleet conversions.
This role is focused on leading the production team, ensuring quality builds, and maintaining efficient workflow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in vehicle upfits, and capable of working alongside technicians while keeping projects on track.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day shop operations, including production scheduling and workflow
- Lead and support technicians in vehicle upfit installations and builds
- Ensure all upfits meet customer specifications
- Monitor quality control and ensure builds meet safety and compliance standards
- Assist with electrical installations, fabrication, and troubleshooting as needed
- Maintain production timelines and ensure on-time delivery of completed units
- Coordinate with management on workload, deadlines, and priorities
- Support inventory tracking and ensure proper use of tools and materials
- Enforce shop safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Qualifications
- 5 years of hands-on police/emergency vehicle upfit experience (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, lighting, and accessory installation
- Ability to read and follow build sheets and technical specifications
- Prior experience leading or supervising a team in a production/shop environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Up to $100,000 per year (based on experience)
