What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL A Driver position at HARDWOOD INDUSTRIES INC?

Hardwood Industries, Inc. offers competitive pay and benefits as well as an annual Driver Retention Bonus equal to 5% of annual earnings.
Home daily, but the schedule can reflect 1-2 trips into Eastern Washington per month that are over night stays with lodging provided at area hotels.
Specific qualifications / duties include:
- Treating customers in a friendly and professional manner, you are the face of our company
- Conducting a safe work zone during each pickup and drop location
- Adhering to assigned delivery schedule
- Completing a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring that all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck are in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations
- Providing the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery
- THIS POSITION DOES NOT REQUIRE OVER THE ROAD TRAVEL
- Ability to work Monday – Friday
- Previous driving experience is preferred, Must have your CDL A License
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to come to work and perform duties during adverse weather conditions such as snow and ice.
- Must be able to lift 30-100 pounds, not all customers will have a forklift or a lifting hand.
- Occasional loading and unloading of trailers with a Hyster at our branch locations or locally at our yard.
- Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required.
- Candidates should live within the Portland Oregon Metro area or Willamette Valley corridor.
- Candidates should also have dependable means of transportation to and from work.
Salary : $27 - $32
