What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineer, Supplier Development (Starlink) position at Hardware FYI?
Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for mechanical hardware.
Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing engineers for project insights.
Support procurement by assessing supplier manufacturing processes.
Define supplier technical and quality requirements for production phases.
Lead resolution of supplier quality issues and ensure compliance.
Analyze supplier quality metrics to identify performance gaps.
Conduct research to identify potential new suppliers and capabilities.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM discipline.
2 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain engineering, or related fields.
Master’s degree preferred in engineering, business, or supply chain.
Manufacturing experience in CNC, Injection Molding, or Castings.
Knowledge of statistical techniques and metrology tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel up to 25-50% of the work week.
