Role Description This full-time, on-site Civil Engineering Professional role is based in San Antonio, TX. The Civil Engineering Professional will support HDD projects by performing civil engineering design, analyzing site conditions, and assisting in the development of alignment plans, profiles, and construction drawings. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with project managers, field supervisors, and clients and ensuring designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety requirements. The role also involves monitoring project progress, preparing technical reports, and supporting permitting and documentation. The Civil Engineering Professional will work closely with cross-functional teams to help deliver projects on time, within scope, and in alignment with HardRock’s safety and quality expectations.
Qualifications
- Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design skills to develop plans, specifications, and technical calculations for HDD and related infrastructure projects.
- Strong Communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, field personnel, clients, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field; professional licensure (PE) in Texas.
- Experience with civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and familiarity with HDD or underground utility projects is beneficial.
- Knowledge of relevant codes, industry standards, and safety regulations applicable to civil and utility infrastructure projects.
- Ability to work on-site in field and office environments, manage priorities in a fast-paced setting, and uphold a strong safety mindset.
