Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned, high-impact bilingual (English/Spanish) Human Resources Manager to serve as a key operational leader and strategic partner to the management team. This role is crucial for managing the current workforce, ensuring legal compliance, and fostering a productive environment. The focus is on strategic workforce maintenance, policy execution, and seamless partnership with the Talent Acquisition (TA) team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The HR Manager manages the critical aspects of the employee lifecycle after hiring and focuses on internal strategy:
- TA Partnership: Works closely and collaboratively with the Talent Acquisition team on organizational planning, workforce needs forecasting, and smooth employee onboarding and integration.
- Employee Relations & Culture: Handle and resolve complex employee grievances and disciplinary actions. Counsel supervisors, and proactively develop programs for improved employee engagement, recognition, and retention.
- Compliance & Policy: Serve as the primary point of contact for legal compliance. Ensure continuous adherence to federal and state regulations (EEO, OSHA, HIPAA, etc.). Create, update, and enforce all HR policies and the employee handbook.
- Compensation & Benefits: Administer the organization's competitive pay plan, conduct periodic pay surveys, manage the job evaluation process, and oversee all employee benefits programs (including contract evaluation).
- Training & Development: Oversee and coordinate the employee appraisal/evaluation program. Work with managers to implement orientation programs and leadership development training courses.
- Organizational Management: Maintain and update all job descriptions. Advise management on staffing structure and organizational design.
- Administration: Maintain accurate historical HR records (filing/retrieval) and utilize the HRIS data for reporting and decision support.
Education and Experience
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a managerial capacity is REQUIRED.
- Language: Bilingual Spanish proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing) is REQUIRED.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certification: Senior-level certification (SHRM-SCP or SPHR) is highly preferred to demonstrate the required strategic depth.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with MS Office and proven experience managing an HR Information System (HRIS) required. Experience with Paycom preferred.
- Core Competencies: Demonstrated ability to act as a trusted, ethical leader; strong skills in conflict resolution and mediation; excellent Business Acumen and proven ability to collaborate effectively with other HR functions.
